There is one potential solution: a new experimental medical procedure that promises to save lives by turning people white. Having watched the world take away his own father, he is determined to stop history from repeating itself. In this near-future society plagued by resurgent racism, segregation, and expanding private prisons, our narrator knows Nigel might not survive. Like any father, he just wants the best for his son Nigel, a biracial boy whose black birthmark is growing larger by the day. Our narrator faces an impossible decision. How far would you go to protect your child? A bold, provocative debut for fans of Get Out and Paul Beatty's The Sellout, about a father who will do anything to protect his son-even if it means turning him white.

I never got the feeling that Jason was overpowered he was more knowledgeable however which allowed him to progress faster and more efficiently, we see this in the first book when he fought that first field boss he just targeted its weak spot not used overwhelmingly strength, he was lucky and did get powerups but I felt at the core his character was more like a person who gives their all and is rewarded by their hardwork. If by any chance the author sees this review I want to point out that I am not hating on this book I'm trying to express how it made me feel and try to give constructive feedback, feel free to ignore this however. I finished the third book the same day it came out! lol but I wanted some more time to digest it and figure out how I felt and gotta say that I agree with a lot of what is being said in the review, I wouldn't put it as a 1-star review but I do see the points being made. It places communism at the far Left, followed by socialism, liberalism in the center, conservatism, and then fascism on the far Right. These facts jar because they contradict the political spectrum that has shaped our worldview since the late 1930s. Likewise, Hitler headed the National Socialist German Workers Party. His words, indeed, fit a much larger pattern of fusing socialism with fascism: Mussolini was a leading socialist figure who, during World War I, turned away from internationalism in favor of Italian nationalism and called the blend Fascism. Wells, who in 1931 called on fellow progressives to become "liberal fascists" and "enlightened Nazis." Really. Actually, it was coined by a socialist writer, none other than the respected and influential left-winger H.G. Liberal fascism sounds like an oxymoron - or a term for conservatives to insult liberals. Within the Inferno, the demons provide some moments of satirical black comedy. The demons are dishonest and malicious: the promise of safe conduct the poets have received turns out to have limited value (and there is no "next bridge"), so that Dante and Virgil are forced to escape from them. The troop hook and torment one of the barrators (identified by early commentators as Ciampolo), who names some Italian grafters and then tricks the Malebranche in order to escape back into the pitch. Many of the bridges were destroyed in the earthquake that happened at the death of Christ, which Malacoda describes, enabling the time this takes place to be calculated. When Dante and Virgil meet them, the leader of the Malebranche, Malacoda ("Evil Tail" ), assigns a troop to escort the poets safely to the next bridge. Vulgar and quarrelsome, their duty is to force the corrupt politicians ( barrators) to stay under the surface of a boiling lake of pitch. Hailed as one of the greatest works of literature throughout history, The Divine Comedy is known not only for its structure, its themes and motifs, and its characters but also for Alighieri’s. You can’t. Because really, my words will not do this book justice. So I am just going to ramble on what I loved and post my favorite quotes.
